On the day of march music on May 2, A1 and the music start-up Marschpat announce their collaboration in the digitalization of music school lessons in Austria. The new app is intended to support music schools in putting the organization and coordination of lessons on a digital background.
Thanks to the jointly developed app, musicsheets are no longer printed out and carried along to music lessons, but simply managed and made available digitally. The aim is also to make lessons easier for teachers who can use the app to organize homework and practice lessons for their students in a simple and clear manner.
Digital interaction and feedback options for everyone involved should ensure communication even when it is not possible to make music together.
Digitization brings new opportunities
Markus Guttenberg, head of the A1 innovation team: “We are very happy about the exciting collaboration with the start-up Marschpat. The project is an example of how innovation and digitization create new opportunities and make our everyday lives easier. Marschpat will help musicians – whether in schools or chapels, for example – to concentrate more than ever on the music, since the entire organization of appointments and the distribution of the scores is now carried out simply and centrally via an app. “
The prototype of the app solution for music schools is being developed with the help of the Hans Lanner Regional Music School Association in Reichenau. Music school director Werner Groß on the cooperation with A1 and Marschpat: “I am very happy that we as a music school are involved in the development of the project from the very beginning. In this way we can contribute our know-how and experience in handling sheet music and contribute to the development of the new digital solution. “
Innovations for traditional march music
“The A1 Innovation Team liked the story of revolutionizing traditional march music. Above all, they see the opportunity to expand our idea to other areas of music, ”says Patrick Rupprecht, Kapellmeister and founder of Marschpat. “We are currently adapting our solutions to the requirements of music schools. For us, the cooperation with A1 means that nothing stands in the way of the new product and its adaptation to other areas of music. We particularly benefit from coaching and sparring with the A1 team. “

The founders Patrick Rupprecht (28) and Carina Eigner (28) met in 2018 as students at the Wiener Neustadt University of Applied Sciences. Markus Wenzl (27) joined the team in 2019.
